Affordable Health Care in a private, caring and culturally sensitive setting.
  • Services are free for teens age 17 or younger.

  • You do not need insurance to use our services. We base charges on a sliding fee scale. The amount of money an individual pays for a visit and related services (i.e. birth control, lab tests) is determined by their income (before taxes) and the number individuals in the household supported by this income. If you are married, your fee is based on the income of you and your spouse.
    • Insurance plans accepted include: MassHealth, Children’s Medical Security Plan, Network Health, Tufts and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
    1. If you have an HMO Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan you will need a referral from your Primary Care Physician.

    2. TUFTSFemales DO NOT need a referral from a Primary Care Physician.  Males do need a referral from a Primary Care Physician.

    3. You will need to bring your insurance card with at the time of your visit and pay your office visit co-pay. It is your responsibility to check to see if your insurance covers family planning services.

Health Awareness Services receives funding from the state (Mass. Department of Public Health) http://www.mass.gov/dph/fch/famplan.htm and federal government (Title X) http://www.opa.osophs.dhhs.gov/ for family planning services.
